Bluff City, Tennessee is located on the banks of Boone Lake and was originally known as Choate's Ford and then Middletown, the name Bluff City has taken hold since July 1, 1887. The well-known brand of Saint Joseph drug products began in Bluff City by Leopold Gerstle, a Bavarian immigrant.
